I CANNOT CREATE UNDRAMATIC LIGHTING. i am PHYSICALLY INCAPABLE!!!
in other news:
i suppose this qualifies as fanart?
This is just a little gift for -this is her adorable (semi)nameless character.
basically i'm just in love with her art and her ocs are so original and exciting...i drew another one as well but it didn't turn out well at all.
my figure drawing without refs is improving VASTLY. no ref's on this, except my own hands in the mirror (as always)
pencil sketch, scanned into and colored in photoshop. longer than it should have taken, i couldn't figure out how to color it.
Very nice! I love the pose and the attitude. Really nice balance of color and line...you really get the feel for the character and the tone.
It's not very conventional in a lot of small ways and that makes it alot of fun to look at! The costume is working really well here...his legs are really great! you really sell those goofy little slippers
And keep rockin' the dramatic lighting...it adds so much to your pieces. There are so few people (I'm ncluding myself here) who really have an intuitive understanding of light like you do. Overall: solid
THANK YOU so much!!!! it's a great day when artists I think are awesome think I'm awesome! (it took me like 3 tries to write that sentence legibly...lulz)
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
