Listening to the Jonathan Edwards's "One Day Closer"
two songs on here especially always make me cry, here is a quick illustration of one of them.
shi-paint with color adjustment in photoshop. done with all texture and line, no airbrush or brush or anything. just a quick doodle, really, to say HERE I AM!!!! I tried to capture in this really thier expressions and their faces, they were young and beautiful and in love once and i tried to capture that, no matter how long ago it was.
more tomorrow, and less emo.
Where do I begin to pack up my things
And move away from what might have been
Was it in some song that came out all wrong
And yet we both tried so hard to sing
I'll pack my guitar
I'll leave you with the car
I hope it won't be too cold to start
But I must get going
The kids get up at dawn
And this is sure to break somebody's heart
(Chorus)
Now, when did we grow this far apart
Love was forever at the start
But now it's come down to sticks and stones
When did we go wrong,
When were we not strong
And did we try hard enough to care
It's cold as hell outside
It's just as cold inside
Now that there's nothing left to share
I'll pack up my books, linger with last looks
And I'll throw them all in my truck and drive
From these sticks and stones
And the lies on the phone
But I hope all that you want will arrive
(Chorus)
I'd better be on my way right now
I'm bad at goodbyes anyhow
Now it's come down to sticks and stones
(Chorus)
When did we grow this far apart
Love was so kind to us at the start
But now it's come down to sticks and stones
I'd better be on my way right now
I'm bad at goodbyes anyhow
Now it's come down to sticks and stones
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
